What we collect and what we do with the information we gather

We may collect the following information.

Data for personal development:
a. At the start and end of the programme all students will complete a short psychological survey to map their personal development over the course of the programme to gauge improvements in several areas.

b. These assessments will be anonymous when possible to gather an honest assessment. One Degree student ID numbers will be used by our external auditors to match student assessments to student exam results without student names attached.

c. One Degree will also compare school grades with One Degree lesson grades as well as GCSE exam grades to map improvements and provide these to your school.

d. Any One Degree public programme reports will not show student names or details, only overviews and overall cohort summaries.

We also use this information to respond to your time with us. It will only be used for that purpose unless you also give us permission to stay in contact to hear about events, news etc (e.g by ticking a checkbox at the end of the form).

If you do consent to stay in contact, we will use your information to send you occasional emails and you will be free to unsubscribe at any time.

Who will your information be shared with?

Your personal data will not be sold or shared with any third parties.

We will use the information within One Degree for the purpose it was intended – e.g. to respond to your enquiry or to respond to your time with us. The information will be shared with the minimum amount of people necessary.

In the rare event that it would be useful to pass your personal data to third parties, e.g. if you would benefit from speaking to one of our partners, you will be contacted in order to give your positive consent for this purpose.

Your personal data may also be shared if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use on this website and other agreements.

Online mentoring session booking details may be openly available to mentors and students as part of our mentor schedule system. This makes it easier for you to search and find mentoring sessions you have booked.

How long will we retain your information?

We will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary and in any event no longer than 5 years from the receipt of an enquiry. Following this period all personal data will be deleted.

If you choose to opt-in to receive further communications from us, we will hold onto your data for the purposes of sending you those communications. You are free to choose to opt-out at any time and at that point, we will delete your data.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical and electronic procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Enquiry information is not stored on our website. When you fill in a contact form or send us an email, the information is emailed directly to us and is not recorded on the website.

Limited online mentoring session booking details will be available for a short period of time on our online calendar, and available for mentors and students to search for bookings.

Name, email and application details are stored online in a secure system for those customers that choose to join our mailing list.
